Air cleaning
devices remove contaminate from air streams. A wide range of
designs are available to meet particular requirements, such as
degree of removal required, quantity and characteristics of the
contaminant to be removed. For particulates, air filtering
devices are divided into two basic groups: AIR FILTERS and DUST
COLLECTORS.
Air Filters remove low dust concentrations of the magnitude
found in atmospheric air - they are mainly used in air
conditioning, ventilation and heating systems.
Dust Collectors are applied to much heavier dust loads from
industrial processes where the air to be cleaned originates from
local exhaust systems
